Quality Lead for Organon Canada

As Quality Lead for Organon Canada, Elizabeth is responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership for all aspects of quality assurance in regard to Health Canada regulations. The Quality Assurance team ensure compliance and quality of our products on the market. 

Elizabeth brings 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with different roles in Quality and Regulatory, including experience with Health Authority inspection, supply chain, laboratory testing, packaging activities and clinical research. 

Elizabeth holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Drug Development) from Université de Montréal as well as a Bachelor of Sciences in Chemistry from Concordia University. When she is not working, you can find Elizabeth on a football field or with her family at the lake.

André Brazeau

Commercial Operations & Strategic Excellence Country Lead

André has recently been appointed to his new role to build and lead the Canadian Commercial Operations & Strategic Excellence organization at Organon. His team is responsible for key and diverse areas including Commercial Effectiveness, Business Insights & Analytics, Sales Forecasting & Demand Planning, Business Development, Commercial Trade & Customer Service and Learning & Development.

André spent 24 years of his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Merck.  Over the last 8 years, as Director, Business Insights & Analytics, he brought data and insights at the fingertips of stakeholders and made data driven decisions a priority. To do so, he revamped the sales forecasting and analytics areas through process improvements, structure changes and investment in new capabilities, namely, with the creation of a Quantitative Science & Data Analytics department.  Prior to this role, André spent 16 years in Finance where he held several roles from Senior Financial Analyst, Assistant Controller to Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, where he played a key role in several company company restructurings, including the merger with Schering-Plough, as well as successfully leading the SAP Finance modules implementation at Merck Canada. Before Merck, André worked for Nortel, a multinational telecommunications and data networking equipment manufacturer.   

André holds an M. Sc. in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from Université de Sherbrooke and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).  André and his wife Diane have 2 daughters, Daphnée, a neuroscience graduate now completing a psychology degree at Université de Montréal, and Carolane, a medicine doctorate student at Université de Sherbrooke. 

Karine Nasri

Associate Director, Procurement Lead Canada

In her role as Procurement Lead, Karine is responsible for sourcing suppliers and negotiating favorable terms to adequately set-up the company with preferred suppliers supporting the business’s day-to-day operations.  Her partnership approach as well as her focus on driving results is a key asset to the team.  She is a strategic collaborator within the organization both locally & globally; and seeks partnership opportunities that will drive value beyond savings.

Karine brings more than 9 years in Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management in the Pharma industry.  During her tenure at Merck Canada and MSD, she held multiple roles such as Key Account Manager dedicated to GEMS, she led the sourcing activities and management of the company’s Global Hotel programs and was an active member of the NSM task force.  Karine’s implication in major projects involving multiple stakeholders has given her the tools that enables her today to successfully settle into her role at Organon Canada. 

Prior to the Pharma industry, she spent several years managing logistics for large events in our Nation’s Capital.    

Karine holds a College Degree in Travel and Tourism as well as a post-graduate certificate in Event Management. Prior to her certificate, she spent two years at the University of Outaouais in Marketing & Public Relations. In her spare time, she enjoys refurbishing old furniture and taking on some DIY projects around the house.  Karine and her husband Nick are raising two girls Emma, 8 and Rebecca, 5 as well as the newest addition to their family a Yorkshire named Loki.

Jean-François Pepin

Associate Director, Demand Fulfilment and Distribution & Logistics

As the Lead of Demand Fulfilment and Distribution & Logistics in Canada, Jean-François Pepin is responsible to achieve timely product availability to the Market through optimal Supply Chain performance within operating expenses and in compliance with guidelines and procedures. In his role, Jean-François also leads the Export logistics activities from Canada to International markets.

Jean-François comes to Organon from Merck, where he spent almost 32 years of his career with most recent as Associate Director Logistics.  All along his career, he had managed growing responsibilities in Distribution & Logistics areas and played key roles in major projects implemented at Merck.

Jean-François is graduated as an engineer from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.

Litsa Spiridonakos

Director of Human Resources

As Director of Human Resources for Organon Canada, Litsa is responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership for all aspects of the human resources function and establishing a vision and direction for the full complement of core human resources programs, policies and services that support Organon’s mission and values.

Litsa brings over 15 years’ experience in driving organizational strategies in talent management, development, culture and transformation which she acquired working in various industries including Telecommunications, Professional Services and most recently Pharmaceuticals.

Litsa holds a Bachelor in Psychology from Concordia University and a diploma in HR Management from McGill University. In addition, she holds the designation of Certified HR Professional (CHRP).

When they are not working, you can find Litsa and her spouse David, hanging out at local soccer fields and hockey arenas cheering on their two boys, Lukas and Adrian, and their teams.

Marco Alfonso

Business Technology Lead

As Business Technology Lead at Organon Canada, Marco Alfonso focuses on Data & Analytics, Project & Program Management and CRM. Reporting into the International Commercial Business Technology Team, Marco plans and executes the implementation of the IT infrastructure and technical solutions to support the business.

Prior to joining Organon, Marco spent over 20 years at Merck Canada in various IT roles and also held different positions within the software industry (logistics) as well as with other pharmaceutical companies.  He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree – Mathematics specialization – from Concordia University.

Jeffrey Malawski

Director, External Affaires and Patient Support Program

As Country Lead – Policy, Access, Pricing/Contracting, Communications and Patient Support Programs, Jeffrey Malawski works to shape and lead the development of policies and pricing and contracting strategies, through government relations and working with key stakeholders, as well as overseeing the company’s communications activities. Jeff is also responsible for the implementation of Organon’s Patient Support Programs, helping patients and their HCPs better manage their health outcomes.

In his previous role, as Director of Policy & External Affairs at Merck Canada, he managed the team responsible for the Pan Canadian strategic planning and execution with government officials, policy makers, and key stakeholders. Prior to this, over his 20+ years with Merck, he was also responsible for Public Health, Field Operations, Field Sales Development and played an active role shaping the Canadian Immunization Landscape which included chairing the Vaccine Industry Committee at BIOTECanada. Prior to joining Merck, Jeff worked in the Corporate Office at St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Jeff holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Health Administration from both the University of Wisconsin and University of Minnesota. On a personal note, Jeff is married to his wife Joelle and the proud father of Thomas, Zach, and Jaymee.

Anne Mayrand

Head, Legal Affairs and Compliance

Anne Mayrand (LL.B.) is Head of Legal Affairs and Compliance of Organon Canada. She is a passionate leader and a trusted advisor to her colleagues, guiding the company in all its areas of activity in keeping with Organon’s values. Anne aspires to create a work environment where everyone has a place, and she is very proud to lead the diversity and inclusion activities that are at the heart of Organon’s values.

Prior to joining Organon, Anne was Director, Legal and Compliance at Merck Canada, where she has worked since 1998. Anne held various positions within the legal department, as a lawyer or as privacy and business practices officer, and within the governmental affairs department. She also represented Merck Canada on the Industry Practices Committee of Innovative Medicines Canada from 2006 to 2010.

Before joining Merck Canada, Anne practised law in a private firm for eight years, working in health, liability and administrative law. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990, after graduating from the University of Montréal (1989). She has earned specialized graduate diplomas (DESS) in Civil Law (1993) (University of Montréal) and in Health Law (1998) (University of Sherbrooke) . Anne later obtained diploma in Applied Ethics (2006) from the University of Sherbrooke. Between 1993 and 1998, she lectured at the Quebec Bar School on the law of persons and on civil liability.

Dominic Bégin

Executive Director, Biosimilar Brands

Dominic is an active and passionate professional who oversees the Biosimilar Brands business unit.

He started in the retail industry before joining Merck Canada in 2000 where he had a rich career, holding various positions of increasing responsibilities in Sales, Training, Marketing, Access, Corporate Strategy, including several directorships. 

His leadership along with his strategic vision, his entrepreneurial mindset and his collaborative approach have allowed him to earn multiple awards throughout his career and be recognized by his peers.

Dominic strongly believes in the importance of saving and improving lives and finding ways to bring more medicines to more people. Throughout his career he contributed to the launch of several products and initiatives bringing new treatment options on the Canadian market and increasing patient access to needed medicines: namely in Hepatitis C, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Immunology, Rheumatology, Migraine and soon Oncology.

As a founding member of Organon, being named on the first ever Canadian Executive Leadership Team, Dominic aims to continue his journey and leverage the agility, renewed energy, and passion of the new organization to help Organon Canada prosper and set a strong foundation in Canada. He is excited about bringing new solutions to address significant unmet needs in Women’s health, as well as bringing biosimilars to the Canadian market to help support the sustainability of the Health Care system and its capacity to invest in innovation.

On the personal side, Dominic was born in Montreal, raised in Shawinigan and he studied in Lennoxville & Sherbrooke. He is married and the proud father of three.

Amy Cairns

Executive Director, Women's Health & Established Brands

Amy Cairns, Executive Director of the Women’s Health & Established Brands at Organon Canada, has fostered a career in the pharmaceutical industry over the past 18 years.

Through her career, Amy has gained experience and expertise in a variety of areas. At Merck, she assumed critical roles with increasing scope and responsibility to help shape the strategic direction of the organization and act as a key contributing member on the Executive Leadership Team. She then transitioned from Merck Canada to its spinoff, Organon Canada, when she was appointed to lead the Women’s Health division and will continue to serve on the Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to joining Organon Canada, Amy held the position of Vice President, Digital and Commercial Operations, leading multiple functional areas including Customer Experience, Business Intelligence, Quantitative Science, Trade Relations, Business Development, Learning & Development, Patient Support Services, as well as leading the development and execution of the Enterprise Digital Transformation Strategy.

Amy lives in Montreal with her husband George, their two children Christopher and Sapphira, and their German shepherd, Misa.
