Our story

At Organon, our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of women and their communities. We invest in conditions that only affect women, affect women more than men, or in therapy areas in which women are not yet optimally diagnosed and treated. Therapy areas include contraception, fertility, conditions around childbirth, cardiovascular disease, migraine, and respiratory conditions.

Organon, here for her health

We are a new company, with the energy of a start-up, while we build on 100 years of history and an established global network. We intensively collaborate with healthcare professionals and proactively invest in new partnerships: Our entrepreneurial mindset characterizes our organization and cultural values. Founded in Oss, the Netherlands, we build on more than 100 years of experience and expertise of a well-established global organization.

Of the approximately 10,000 employees worldwide, approximately 1,000 work at the production site in Heist-op-den-Berg (BE) or at the Brussels office. Our production facilities all possess and nourish unique knowledge, expertise, and innovative technologies. In our modern, state-of-the-art production facility in Heist-op-den-Berg we produce medicines and other health products for Europe and the rest of the world.

We are champions in inclusion, sustainability, and social engagement. We promote and execute on diverse leadership and are front runners in sustainable manufacturing and (international) social responsibility projects. Our commitment in these fields is demonstrated by our ambitious goals to reduce fossil energy use and improve management of waste (water), as well as the family planning programs in low-income countries, run from Oss.

We strive to be the world’s leading company focused on women’s health. Our commitment is to listen to ‘her’, so we can create better health products, initiatives, and experiences to help her realize a future as unlimited as her imagination.

We are here for her health.

We believe the journey to improve women’s health is critical to achieving a healthier world.
