We're turning #IWD into #IWDayOFF

We have a clear mission: to empower women through our daily work. This attitude motivates our approximately 10,000 employees every day to develop products that enable women around the world to live healthier and better lives. But women's health is not a clear focus in medicine or in society. That's why we don't just celebrate International Women's Day, but make it a day off for all employees worldwide.

We are sending a clear signal for women's health

Companies like us also have a responsibility to use our resources and opportunities to help make the world a fairer place. Fairer for everyone. But especially for women.

More focus on women's health

That’s why on March 8, 2023, we’re deliberately giving our colleagues a whole day to take care of their health – and that of their loved ones.

This is why on this day it is up to our employees whether they take care of their own mental health and that of their loved ones, or whether they commit themselves to a special project close to their hearts. This means that on March 8, we are consciously taking the time to strengthen women’s health. Because we want to take the time to help empower women and fight outdated prejudices.

This is what Christoph Habereder, Managing Director, Organon D-A-CH, says

„With our daily work, we want to support women and create more space for their individual health needs. But that alone is not enough. Political unrest and wars, the pandemic, and social injustice continue to ensure that discrimination against women happens every day – and it happens everywhere.

The relevance for women’s health must be discussed more in the future, especially medically. But not only that. Pharmaceutical companies like us must also take a social and political stand on the issue. And not just on International Women’s Day, but every day. Our campaign is designed to make that clear. That’s why we’re turning International Women’s Day into an International Women’s Day Off. This does not mean that we do nothing on March 8, 2023, but the opposite. We are taking the time to do something for everyone’s health. Nothing could be more important these days.“ #IWDayOFF

"To empower women's health, we need to do big things. And we need to do it every day."
