Abdourakhmane Gakou

Abdourakhmane Gakou joined Organon Canada as Quality Lead and brings with him over 10 years of experience in quality assurance within the pharmaceutical Industry.

During these past 10 years, Abdou has held positions of increasing responsibility in companies such as Novartis, Strides Pharma, Pharmapar and Galenova in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

As Quality head at Organon Canada, Abdou leads the Canadian In Market Quality organization (IMQ) and is directly responsible for the quality and CGMP compliance. He provides quality leadership and strategic guidance for all aspects of quality assurance. He and his team ensure that products commercialized in the Canadian market meet the requirements for distribution.

Abdou was born and raised in Senegal and studied in Quebec. He holds a bachelor’s degree in medical biology from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Abdou and his wife Sylviane are proud parents of four.
