Anne Mayrand

Anne Mayrand (LL.B.) is Head of Legal Affairs & Compliance at Organon Canada and a trusted advisor to the Canadian leadership team. With more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, Anne helps leaders make tough decisions that are both commercially sound and ethically grounded. She is valued for her clear judgment, practical advice, and ability to manage risk while enabling business performance. She also brings over 10 years of experience supporting biosimilar products.

Anne works closely with global and local teams to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are understood and applied in a way that supports sustainable growth in Canada. Her focus is on responsible execution, accountability, and decision-making that stands up to scrutiny.

She has contributed to several global initiatives, including serving as Commercial Legal Lead for Organon’s Global Fertility Franchise and as Co‑Lead of the Global Diversity Council. She also supports Organon’s Global ESG group and provides legal support to markets beyond Canada on an ad hoc basis.

Anne is actively engaged in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry. She has held committee roles with Innovative Medicines Canada, is currently a member of committees with Biosimilars Canada, and has served on the Advisory Board of the Pharmaceutical Compliance Congress Canada for several years.

Fostering an inclusive, high‑performing culture grounded in trust and psychological safety is core to Anne’s values, and she has played a key role in shaping Organon Canada’s DEIB strategy and culture.

Prior to joining Organon, Anne spent over 20 years at Merck Canada in senior legal, compliance, privacy, and government affairs roles. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990 and holds Specialized Graduate Diplomas in Civil Law, Health Law, and Applied Ethics.
