Country Medical Lead, Medical Affairs
Parambir Bhangu has recently been appointed to the role of Country Medical Lead, to build and lead the Canadian Medical Affairs organization at Organon, a global healthcare company focused on making a world of difference in women’s health every day.
In his previous role, as Director, Medical Affairs at Merck Canada leading the Vaccines, Women’s Health and New Products portfolios, Parambir Bhangu was responsible for strategic medical leadership of both in-line and pipeline vaccines (HPV, Pneumo, CMV, RSV, Rota, MMR-II, etc.), along with a diverse range of New Products (e.g. Chronic Cough), as well as Contraception. Prior to these responsibilities, at Merck, he provided medical support for the Hospital Acute Care (ID and Anesthesia/Surgery) products. Previous to Merck, Parambir was with Pfizer, also in Medical Affairs roles, having transitioned his career path from Clinical Research, where he spent 7 years of his early career in Global Project Management. From an educational standpoint, Parambir holds a PhD in Biology from the University of York, United Kingdom.
